It’s time to put on your running shoes and start training, because online registration for the 2010 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is now open at http://www.sydneyrunningfestival.com.au and we’re hoping you might support us by pounding the pavement and choosing us as your charity.
There’s no need to be a professional runner, as the festival gives people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to run, jog or walk over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish at the equally iconic Sydney Opera House.
Last year over 200 runners helped us raise over $55,000, which is enough to fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for almost six months, and this year we’re hoping to raise even more, hopefully with your help!
Once you’ve registered for the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and set up your fundraising page at GoFundraise at www.gofundraise.com.au, make sure you join the Team McGrath Foundation fundraising page http://www.gofundraise.com.au/McGrathFoundation, led by Glenn, so that your fundraising efforts are automatically tallied to our $50,000 target!

The McGrath Foundation was co-founded by Jane and Glenn McGrath after Jane’s initial recovery from breast cancer. The McGrath Foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia as well as increasing breast awareness in young women. To date we have placed 73 McGrath Breast Care Nurses  across Australia who together have helped over 12,000 families.
